People Strategy 2025-2028
Wellbeing Strategy 2025-2026

We want to create a workplace where wellbeing is seamlessly integrated into everything that we do, promoting a culture of care, respect, and inclusivity. To achieve this we needed to develop and share this strategy.

This strategy is more than just a document, it represents a commitment to prioritising the health and wellbeing of every member of staff. It acknowledges that wellbeing is unique to each individual and encompasses not only mental and emotional health but also physical well-being. Additionally, it recognises the various aspects of our busy lives that influence these factors.

Suffolk is gearing up for a smarter, greener future with enhanced recycling services that promise to make it easier for residents to reduce waste and protect the environment. As shown in the video, the new system introduces clearer sorting guidelines, more frequent collections, and upgraded facilities designed to handle a wider variety of materials. These improvements aim to raise recycling rates and minimise landfill use, supporting Suffolk’s broader goals for sustainability and carbon reduction. For local communities, it means less confusion about what goes in which bin and a chance to make a tangible difference for their county and the planet.

Following a spate of incidents affecting frontline colleagues, we took action alongside East Suffolk Council to raise awareness of the abuse our teams can face and to reinforce our Zero Tolerance approach to aggression and threatening behaviour.

The press release gained wide coverage across local media and BBC Radio Suffolk, where one of our Civil Enforcement Officers shared his experiences on behalf of all frontline staff. His voice helped highlight the important role our people play in the community and the respect they deserve.

This visibility is a positive step in gaining wider public support and shows our continued commitment to protecting our staff.

  • At East Suffolk Services, we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact and operating more sustainably. We were recently awarded the Carbon Charter Bronze Standard, recognising the steps we’ve already taken to cut emissions and embed greener practices across our work.

This is just the start of our journey. We are actively striving for Silver accreditation, with a clear plan to build on what we’ve achieved so far. By making sustainability part of our everyday operations, we aim to play our part in protecting the environment while delivering essential services for our communities.

  • At East Suffolk Services, we’re proud to play an active role in supporting the people and organisations that make our region thrive. We are also sponsoring the East Suffolk Business Awards 2025, recognising the innovation and resilience of local businesses that are driving East Suffolk forward.

Both partnerships highlight our commitment to investing in our communities, recognising achievement, and building stronger connections. Supporting others is part of who we are, and we’re proud to contribute to the wider success of East Suffolk.
